ok well there are sum bolts on the bottom side of th eframe that i am assuming are the tranny x-member bolts, now the truck lays on those bolts and i am wondering if there is a tranny x-member availible or what i can do about them, cuz i want this thing to lay flat when i get the spindles put on....i dont wanna just wack the heads off and weld the x-member in cuz i want it to function and be removalbe to service the tranny, now ive asked this on dually scene and didnt get the answer i was looking for, so hopefully there will be someone here that can help my out....thanx in advance...

I welded mine in, with a stockfloor body drop and I serviced my transmission a couple months ago.  It wasn't easy, but i did it.

on my truck i took some angle iron and welded a piece to each side of the x-member and drilled holes through the side of my frame so now the bolts that hold the x-member in go through the side of the frame instead of the bottom

take it off and either build a new one or weld some plate to the ends and make it bolt to the side of the frame instead of bottom. either of those are effective, cheap, and quick. i dont recomend welding it in due to difficulty of servicing&removing. it may sound like a great idea right now,but you will regret it.

the hardest part i had was tryin to figure out how to put it back in thee frame lol

haha i can see how it could be a bitch if ur angle iron extends past the edgee of the x-member.....

when i did mine i counter sunk the holes in the frame and ran flat head bolts up through the frame.

I built a new one like this, but I see how it could be a pain to take out. Hopefully I won't have to. I guess, if the tranny has to come out, unbolt it and slide the x-member back far enough to clear. I installed it with the cab off. The only thing I did different was made to rectangle plates instead of the triangle ones pictured.
