I will be starting my 65 f250 project here soon and I will be using it to tow my s10 with eventually.  It's getting bodied and it has the crappy ibeams up front so I am swapping in a 79 camaro clip.  Problem is that I would like to keep the 8 lug for towing and the rear is a dana 60 8 lug, also good for towing.  Being that the camaro is a small GM 5 lug, there are no adaptors for the 8 lug.  I have been researching various options but and I have considered trying to use a fullsize spindle from around the same era because they look almost identical however I would think I would have to make custom arms for them.  Can you think of any other options to keep the 8 lug beyond keeping the stupid beams?

you can use a 80s chevy fullsize crossmember. They unbolt from the frame.

are you suggesting that i bolt that to the factory ford frame or use it with the camaro?

I believe that the c10 front track width is too wide as though by around 4...I know the camaro is around 60.5 or 61 and its about perfect..

Search for Reyna Brothers on here. There was a thread not so long ago about a newer SD Ford.

if you got the $$$$ have max build custom spindles that use your hubs to fit the maro arms and clip..or have arms made that fot yyour spindles...it can be done up to what you want to spend and or how custom

You could always narrow a front crossmember from a 63-87 fsc 2500.

Both good ideas. I like the first one tho. Haha!

I'm sure you do lol but this is a complete budget build lol...I've got almost everything I need for under 1000 including the price of the truck lol..What would you suggest about steering then?  Know of a good place to get a custom rack and pinion?
