i bought a 92 b2600i. the truck cranks and runs pretty good but the damn thing only gets 9-11 miles a gallon. i put a new O2 sensor on it and all new exhaust. new plugs, wires, cap and button. sometimes i floods itself when you try to start it if it has set for a few days. wtf is it??? help help help. lol. tired of looking at it and want to drive it bad. any and all help would be great.

if it's fuel injected, it's can't flood itself, I don't think.

any change the gas tanl has a leak? cause thats horrible milage

check the sending unit above the gas tank. they are known to rust and spray fuel. other than that one of the injectors could be stuck open?

check the tail pipe emissions, see if it is running rich. check all fuel lines. check sender see if it is accurate

ill try checking the tank saturday morning. ive heard it could be anything from the computer to the throttle posistion switch. ive put $80 worth of fuel in it, and its only gotten 286 miles on it. its horrible.

If your fuel pressure regulator is a back pressure type (after the fuel rail), it may be stuck shut cutting off your return flow. This will cause excessive fuel consumption. If a fuel cell is installed, did the installer run a return line? Just a few thoughts. Does the i in 2600i mean fuel injected?

^^The i does stand for injected, the plain 2600 is a carb(and a nightmare)

fixed it!!! it was the fuel pressure regulator. thanks twisteddragger. runs like a champ.
