Ok, so instead of just shooting primer on the truck, I went on and painted it right after primer. Vista Blue Pearl was the color I used for the whole truck. Still gotta do the bed and the hood though. Only problem that I really have is that I got a few runs in the clear. Does anyone know the best way to get the runs out. I've been using 1000 grit, 1500, and then 2000 to wet sand things down. Also I need to know of a good buffing or rubbing compound to shine things back up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also thanks to everyone on here for the replies and help with setting up the gun and mixing the primer.

if the runs are real bad I have used 800 in the past just to cut out the run, then did like you are doing, 1000-1500-2000 then polish.  I like 3m's extra cut compound with a foam cutting pad, 3m's swirl mark remover with the foam pad and then the 3m finishing glaze, don't wax it for a few months!
