OK guys you all helped me out alot last time so here goes some more questions.I have been practicing on and off since this last post and I am ready to invest in new and more stuff. What do you all consider the essentials? I have been doing all my practicing with 3 brushes 2 colors and some mineral spirits. My brushes have stiffened up I guess because after I used it to touch up some spots on a buddies truck I either didnt clean it thoroughly or stored it too long without oil? But anyways do you guys use stabil pencils, pounce patterns or pads, or wipe out tools? I am ordering more one shot colors and a new set of brushes and wanna know what else I need to look at? I have one piece that I am really proud of and will hopefully get a picture of it on here soon for you all to check out.

i use stabilas some times to graph out some lines to help keep large pieces semetrical. my uncel likes to use the pounce when doing characters or things like flames on oposite sides. you can ,make alot of colors if you get the basic colors. also invest in a color wheel they are cheep and help figure out what makes what. get some pics posted up of your work and lets see how your doing. keep them brushes clean and oiled up

The stabilo pencils tend to leave behind marks on certain surfaces more than others that when using pounce patterns or alternative work nicely because once try wipe it down and all the lines are gone.  Some advise on brushes stiffing up or if the hairs dry one you a little funky like bend to one side let it sit overnight in some brush oil and she should be able to come back to the form you want.  My essitials are a 000 blue banded and an excaliber 000 for tight curves a ruler also I also cut all the fingers out of a cheap cotton glove other than the pinky. This helps when I have no powder to keep a smooth pull on a surface.  Hopes this helps Try going on the sketchkult website and pinheadlounge.com for some inspiration and tips.

Yea actually that does help alot. I never knew about powder or a glove to keep down on the friction from your hand. And saw the color wheels but did not put two and two together on how they were beneficial. Thanks Nate and Kyle!
