Most of the other forum boards I visit have a thread for MMA, or UFC, or whatever you want to call it... so I figured I would start one here with some interesting news for anyone who follows the sport.
Affliction is once again a full clothing sponsor of the UFC. The affliction trilogy event that was supposed to happen next weekend (August 1st) has been canceled due to Fedor's oponent testing positive for an illegal steriod. Affliction has agreed to stop promoting fights as parts of thier new partnership with the UFC. Things could be getting interesting with all the fighters that were signed with Affliction, I think there were roughly 25 of them (and a good amount of them are former UFC fighters).<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

fedor should run lesnar. and i for one would like to see it. lesnar is a monster i aint takin nothing from him but this aint let me jump you with no form or tech and just beat the shit outta you. yea the first time or two was impressive but its old. fedor would be the only other one i could see giving lesnar a run for his money. and i know some or thinking o shit kimbo is coming to ufc. kimbo would get worked by lesnar or fedor. but idk cause they say kimbo has been trying to get in some bjj. so idk. but yea white has made it public on more than one note that fedors contract is up at the end of the year to affilction(sp) and hes busting ass to pick his contract up. and what about bobby lashely? lol damn i ranted on forever sorry

MMA of course i will talk about it but we talk about it all the time jeremy. i would love to see the fight of those heavy weights. with that fight you either validate lesner as a bad ass OR you show the world who fedor is and he becomes the best fighter in the world period. either way we as fans win. for this upcoming 101 UFC i think it all depends on what BJ weighs in at, i he is 155 or less he cut too hard and we will not see a good showing from him. if he hits the mark at 156 he will be mean as hell and Ken Flo is in trouble. i would like to Ken win because he is such and intelegent fighter and that makes it fun to watch, its time for a changing of the guard at 155. the co main event is sick! the 185 untouchable champ is getting bigger and stronger? look out forest i dont think he can hang with the spider.

silv is tough no doubt about it but forest is a tank dude without a doubt has one of the toughest jaws at 185. rampage couldnt even knock him out. itll def be worthwhile to watch. i mean forest is so off in the head in highschool he wanted to play varsity basketball so he cut the webbing in his fingers with a straight razor to palm a ball. not my style but insane he'd go that far. silv will do good in his last fight i was a lil bummed that his oppenent flopped on him. silv got so bothered that the fight previous cause the fans said they wanted to see him throw bombs and neither of his last two oppenents wanted any part of him so i think def will be a good one. and bj im a die hard bj fan he should of had a better showing against gsp but was ROBBED due to the fact gsp had too much vasoline on his body. bj is a master of bjj and how can you submit someone he is greased up but kenny is not going to be a easy win by anymeans another good match up imo

BJ Penn is a good fighter who has done a lot in the sport but I can't stand him, he is such a poor sport. GSP simply overpowered him and he lost, I can't see how they would have let GSP fight if he was too greased up. Its not like they aren't checking for this stuff before the fight begins or something. I hope that they get the chance to go again sometime soon to shut Penn up once and for all on the subject, it will be a good fight.

if penn fought gsp again, he would get beat again. Penn didnt stand a chance against gsp last time.gsp needs to fight anderson silva... im tired or hearing that AS is the best pound for pound fighter in the ufc. his past 3 fights have been a waste of time to watch.

well as bad as i hate to say it he made forrest look like silva just punched a fan in the stands. he got dropped and it wasnt a good connection he looked like he gave up and than RAN RAN RAN to the back.
