im finishing up a hardbody build for a buddy right now and another friend came over and asked how much i would charge to stock floor his 73 C10 on 22 inch wheels, ive never worked on an older chevy so i was hoping someone could answer some questions for me before i take on the project. Will it lay on 22 with stock control arms? also i normaly use .188 wall 2x3 tubing, is this sufficient? and will i need a new engine xmember or anything else outta the ordinary. Unfortunately he hacked off the back half of the stock frame so i have nothing to measure off of, any ideas? i really need some answers fast because if i deide to take this on he wants me to start asap.

They will lay crossmember with 24's on stock arms and ball joints with  a 3" spindle.  U need a 2 1/2 to 3" z to lay flat frame which puts the pinch about a half inch off the ground.  New or modified tranny member.  Cut off an inch from the bottom of the rails ( only about 3-4 feet under the cab) and it'll lay door.   Check out www.c10forum.com for all the info you need.

it will lay 22's with the stock arms but i use 2x4 box and it lays on the pinch but you should go a little further and take off the rocker it will be so much better and the 22's will still fit. if you need so refrence photos look at ifcustom.com or go to ctp myspace page good luck
