so i got a 2002 chevy silverado that were gunna body drop to the doors, and i some concerns with the brakes. what are my options as far as the booster goes? should i convert to hydroboost. or can i put a smaller brake booster ? or can it be completley eliminated? i already know alot about the hydroboost conversion on my truck. What im trying to find out mostly is if i can use a smaller booster and if i can, which on can i use?

just get a hydrobooster off of an HD truck. Fits fine on my truck that is body dropped 5 1/4" on 24x10" wheels up front and pulled in 1" per side.

I personally prefer full manual brakes, they are far simpler, cleaner and cheaper. If you know how to set everything up properly, it's very tolerable. I am doing tech in Sport Truck mag here in the next few months on installing a manual pedal assembly in a fullsize Chevy.

---------------------------------------------I have. The Cadillac in my profile has one. They are a nice piece for sure!  ---------------------------------------------Originally posted by dtesilveradoim kinda leaning towards the hydro boost set-up but its just more parts in the truck. can you give me more info the manual set-up? ---------------------------------------------What do you want to know? They are manual so they will obviously take more leg force to slow the truck. What else?

im gunna run the hydroboost set up, what will i need to do it exactly, do you need a new powersteering pump or do i just bypass the line?
BioMax   +1y

Just bypass the line. You can find info on how to run them online, the hydro boost is just another piece in the curcuit. The only major change is the the resevoir needs two return lines. It's pretty easy otherwise.
