I had my truck repainted due to an accident and now in the paint on one door there is a patch about 3 in. x 3 in. that has light scratches and appears dull where it looks like a buffer or sander got to deep, if i wax the truck i can hide it but when its dirty you can see it standing about three feet away, i was wondering if there is any kind of polishing compound i could use to permanetly buff out the marks? it took me about 2 months to realize it so its too late to take it back to the shop for them to fix it. i was wondering what i could do besides waxing the truck every time i wash it. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, also is the meguire's scratch-x any good for this type of marks? or would it give me the same temporary results as waxing?

watersand it with some 2000 grit sandpaper and then buff out with any type of compound, i personally use farecla G3, but 3M makes good stuff along with a ton of other companies
