Okay, so here's the deal. I have a 1985 chevy crew cab with now 1/2 front clip and rear axle. The frame is new front to back with 3 X 4 X 3/16 tube, except for the portion going up to the xmember which is 3 X 4 so I could get the proper miter cut, and in doing so, I raised the whole front xmember up 2". My qusetion is now when I air my truck all the way up with my re7's, the furthest outside part of the upper a-arms now touch the spindles, which are drop spindles. I'm having trouble getting enough lift to turn my tires because I also cut 3 1/4" of the rockers and kept 1/2" What is the best, most economical way to keep my upper arms from touching my spindle? I'm a journeyman welder/fabricator, so altering the arms doesn't scare me, but I'd like to avoid getting tubulars just because of the shear cost of them.

on my factory ones i had to cut away the part of the upper arms that hit the spindle.  but now im just building my own uppers and lowers.

Anyone else have any advise? There are enough c10's out there that someone must know some way to make the stock arms work!

I just did a 81 thats lays on 24's..  I Z'd it 3 1/2" w 3" spindles.  It lays no prob and lifts over the 24's without binding on stock arms and ball joints so I don't have any help for you but if you check on C10forum.com Jake ( Phat Phabrikationz)  has done a bunch on big wheels and can prolly help you out.
