Weber carbs in cali

How would I get an 87 b2200 with a weber carb to pass smog or be exempt in California? I know there are guys out there that run around with webers, but how? Im getting rid of my mazda to a guy in cali and im not sure its gonna happen now because of the smog laws......any help would be greatly apprecited.

I had one on my truck. I switched back to a stock carb when the inspections came up. Was only every other year, not that big of a deal.

just tell him he needs to make friends w people that can get around things,, if hes a cool guy then im sure he will find some one to help him out w everything

Could he even run the stock carb correctly since I took out all he factory emissions and vaccume lines??? If its a possibility I would gladly give him a stock carb to.

as long as you have everythign with it you could put the stock one back on and if you remember where it all goes. on my d50 there was a ton of vacum garbage.

In short, the weber is not smog legal, to pass legally he will have to have the stock carb and all related emission stuff. He can always swap them for inspection times. The hart part is figuring out where all the vaccum hoses go. They are a rats nest.
