On the first front end his way of doing the hood is alot easier than how I did it, but back in 05 no one had done one yet so I just started cutting until it fit.  The only thing I do not like about the new front ends on the new trucks is the space between radiator and grill, it is almost 18 inches.  Since I didnt like that I cut my core support to allow the headlight brackets to recess so the front end wasnt so long.  When I did this I had to section the front end of the hood around 5 inches to make it shorter.  Also the bumper on the new trucks are huge, I bought it at first and hung it but hated the way it looked so I switched to the GMC bumper and sectioned 4 inches out of the center of it.  If you look at mine the headlights are in the same location as factory not pushed 4-5 inches out past stock.

well im glad u explained it because i really didnt wanna section my bumper i havnt went out and hung it yet to see if i have to i like the pushed out look a lil better now that i have looked like the grille slanted out instead of straight under the hood

thanks for the links guys.i will be asking some q's if thats alright.when you do the hood are you using just the skin or just cutting and welding complete pieces with the support and everything.
