Ive been thinking about building a set of drop spindle's for my 2000 tacoma out of 96 eclipse parts (front hubs brakes calipers etc) just wanting your take on it to see if  it has any merit.

Sure it does! The one thing that you will need to concern yourself with is that its a good possibility that the hub assembly is held together by having the axle torqued down in the hub. Also, I don't think that the Eclipse would be the best parts to start with. The main reason being that the hubs are pressed into the knuckle where something like a Chrysler Grand Caravan I believe or a Jeep Grand Cherokee has a 5 on 4 1/2 lug pattern, but uses a bolt in hub asseembly.

So does the 4WD Ranger. That's what I am using right now.

i understand about the axle shaft having to hold the hub assembaly together and on the round body eclipse it bolts together just like the ranger/explorer hub. i was mostly concerned with keeping the same baljoint inclination ect  after i lengthen the spindle to accommodate the tire im wanting to run

That doesn't take merrit, that takes knowledge. If you are going to keep the Taco geometry on the frame then you need to keep the spindle geometry as slose to Taco as well.
