In need of help on speedo

Ok heres my prob on my 94 truck my tranny has the electric speed sensor for the speedo head i need to convert it to a cable for my autometer speedo to work can i use the speedo gear off a older truck what years fit? Is this even possible?

your probably better off just getting a electronic speedo instead of a mechanical one. dakota digital makes a speedo signal converter box so you can make any signal work with any electronic speedo. i know you can get adapters from cable driven to electronic but im not sure about the other way around.

I know you can go mech to elec but I have never seen elec to mech
