i'm sure this is has been asked a thousand times, but after searching, i can't find much.

this is my first mazda build, so please bear with me.

it's a 1993 B2200 & at a show just won a set of 6 lug 20's.  les schwab said they'd trade them for the right offset that i need.  they're devino 20x9 14mm offset & i know those won't fit.  i bought the truck already bagged, & i have a 4x4 bed & fenders to throw on it, so what size & offset wheels do i need.

please don't tell me to go 5 lug cause the guy i'm building it for can't afford that.  he was lucky enough to win those rims & it's cool that les schwab will trade him for what he needs, so all i need to know is what size & offset i need?

thanks in advance guys...

20*9 is going to be really tough. I would say +50mm or better. Is it possible for him to sell those wheels and do a 5 lug swap with the money? Or try to find some 18*7 or 17*7's?. A narrower rear may help also, but he might as well throw a yota or ranger rear in if he is going to do that.

all i could gather from the search function was that a 20x8.5 with a +40mm offset will work, or should i really consider swapping out for the 5 lug?  even i'm a rookie at maz's but as far as i was told from les schwab, we can trade the same 6 lug devino lethal rims ror the same make & type that will tuck on the mazda, so do you think i should sell them & get the 5 lug conversion, or get ones that they say will fit?   sorry for all the ?'s corey

Its very hard to find 6 lug 20's that tuck on a Mazda. There are some out there, so if they can get them, go for it!
