Hey all,  its been a while since I've been on here, and its nice to see its still going strong. I have an issue I'm trying to figure out as to what to do with my bagged S-10.  I have recently just passed the hump of 30 yrs old, and also I have become a dad.  I currently have an 88 S-10 sitting in my tiny single bay garage taking up space, and it RARELY comes out due to the fact as I just dont have time for it anymore, and it seems to have lost that "fun" aspect as well.  So I'm just wondering what others in my situation would do....Sell it....Keep it....tear it apart, put it back together....sell it, and start another project.   I'm just very undecided with it, and I would like some input from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

Thanks,
Mat

Been there, and understand where you are coming from..I am 35 and have a 13 yr old daughter...I sold my last truck and left the scene completely  for about 5 years, biggest mistake I ever made...Dont sell it, put it on the back burner for awhile and focus on life...you'll get the motivation to work on it again in the future and you will regret it if you sell it...

In the same boat as you. Turning 30 next month. Having my 3 lil boy in the past 4 years. Yea I know but I wanted to be done at 30. Since my 1st was born I have had it in the garage. Occasionally drove it to keep it running. But haven't worked on it much other than a new front bumper/valance. Wife says I don't drive it or pay attention to it anymore. She wants me to sell it. But I said screw that! I had this truck before I had her. Bought it new in 96, 97 Nissan Hardbody. Only owner. I have a lot invested and won't get that back especially my love for it. So it will be finished someday. I said Im keeping it. Actually as of now, Im selling my buckets out of it and putting in a bench seat. So as my boys get a lil older, gonna take them out and hit switches for em. Thats my story, good luck

Don't let your age be the deciding factor for you. Lots of us are over 30 and still going strong, you could be part of the club if you keep it. Back burner it for a while until the inspiration comes back and then get at it, teach your kid about it as you go. Watching/helping my old man build rides when I was a kid is one of my fondest childhood memories.Good luck to you in whatever you decide man.

we I get burnt out going to a show or a cruise night usually sparks the motivational bug to finish it as much as it can piss you off or sell it and get something with a back seat for the kids.

If you love your truck and enjoy working on it then keep it.  Progress if any will take time time.  It is to me a calming influence to even spend an hour a week in the garage.  No need to leave cause you are having a kid or hit a certain age.P.S.  I have four kids and have been working on my truck for 12 years.  (An understanding wife sure helps)
