Yesterday i went to move my 94 ranger thats been sitting for a few months, put some gas in it and it wouldnt start..lots of spark, checked schrader on fuel rail gas squirted out, ran fine until i parked it, cranked few more times checked fuel again and nothing, checked relay fuse inertia switch everything seems ok cant tell if pumps running as im working on it alone, i cant hear it in truck when i turn key on, but this morning i went out to garage and cranked over no surprise didnt start but what did baffle me is when i pushed schrader gas squirted out again, so initially yesterday i had a squirt of fuel, then nothing, and again today...pumps probably on way out? i heard this shit box has 2 one in tank and one on rail i couldnt find one on rail what should i check at the tank like wire wise? should i just use test light and make sure power getting there or if i use a meter andthing specific i should check? id really like to get running and rid of its in way of full frame build of bodydropped d50

spray some starting fluid in the TB. if it runs off that, investigate fuel problems. it may just be bad gass from sitting.

sprayed fuel in yesterday and it fired up, the lack of fuel at the shcrader made me think fuel, bad gas im pretty sure it would fire, but i just took box off and started taking pump out when i pulled the connector off the sending unit the plug on tank was filled with white plastic chunks, assuming some sort of insulater in the plug? but connection was pretty nasty looking i cleaned it up and also found a crack in the hi pressure line on sending unit, just putting it back together now but my pump worked fine i powered it up when was out...hopefully between the shitty connection and leaking hi pressure line its fixed

ya man turns out my alternator seized up, i guess between not getting proper fuel and trying to turn alternator over it would only fire when i was cranking it and killed battery quick, once i found that took belt off it fired up ran like kitten....stupid ford, oh and i turned alternator with ratchet a few times barely moved so i started taking it off, ran hand by the pulley accidentally and noticed it was spinning freely both ways lol
