I bought 2 brand new Air Zeniths from a buddy who had no use for them. I thought I was getting a good deal and was going to try to help him out as well.  I put the first one on my truck and not 5 hours of run time later she locked up. I didn’t think it would be a big deal to take it off and send it back, boy was I wrong.  In order to send them back you have to have a receipt and they can not be over a year old.  This makes me wonder about several different things: 1) if someone was to buy one for a spare and use it a year after and it burns up, are you just out of luck?  2)  Most of us have to trade around to be able to afford this hobby/lifestyle.  So if you trade for a new Air Zenith and the person didn’t save the receipt and it burns up, are you out of luck again? 3)  In my case the compressor was only a few hours old, wouldn’t they be able to pull it apart and see what failed? From a business aspect I would want to see all the compressors that failed to better improve my product. I don’t mean to bash a company who helps out the sport; I have friends who brag upon the Air Zenith brands. The time that the compressor ran, I was very impressed with it. I would just really appreciate it if there was a way to get my compressor, which shows minimal signs of use, replaced or fixed. Please let me know if anybody knows of any solutions to help me with this. If not, it’s up to you, Air Zenith, to do something about this problem.

Good luck man. I had to go through the run around with air zenith when i bought my compressor a while ago. It blew the first night i ran it and i only owned the compressor a week. Beings that you are the second owner they will probably tell you tough luck. But also keep in mind, other companies such as VIAIR etc also only apply their warranties to the original owner. Although from what Ive seen, Lance has taken care of people left and right just to back up his product. Just one question tho. Was this an OB1 or OB2 compressor? Hope it works out!

I have allways used Viair but came across these cheap.  i guess this is what i get for trying to save a little money.

It really sounds like you are dealing with Ob1 compressors can you verify that? If so have you talked directly with Paul at AZ. If you can get to him tell him what you are going thru and see what he is able yo do for you. I dont recomend rebuilding the OB1 but ive heard in the past that he has made some pretty sweet deals on OB2s for people that have Ob1 issues.  Good Luck!

---------------------------------------------Scrap the AZ's and go with Viair. AZ's are JUNK....................... Viair has and still is a great product. You gotta remember the MT scene is a small part of Viair. They build compressors for the Military. You know it's gotta last and work. I've only had problems with AZ and dealing with them for help makes me wanna pound my balls flat with a rubber mallet......
