I may or may not have stolen that shock mounting idea for the dually project. What did you use for the pivot?

What did you use for the pivot?---------------------------------------------We used a bronze bushing and then machined a long piece of solid that starts out 1 3/8 and goes all the way through the first framerail and into the second and is welded fully around, then it steps down to 3/4 where the bronze bushings slide over it, then we drilled and tapped the end about 1/3 of the way and machined the washer with the countersunk bolt.  We actually machined all of the hardware to it to keep everything very slim as we don't have too much room to spare between the frame and tire.   Here's some shots of the shock extended.  We had to do all of this work to retain the stock shock and utitlize the travel that it provides.

We got both wheel tubs finished up and in, now just working on the rest of the floor.  Also got the rear driveline in and notched the floor for it.       Man, someone needs to clean this thing...

I'm probably going to use sealed bearings but I was pretty much thinking the exact same thing for the machined mounting stud. I've got about 3.5" to work with between the frame and link bar.
