has anyone ever heard of doing this on their mazda??? a buddy of mine was talking about it. do you do it to upper or lowers and why would you do this to them?? thanks any help would be great

i done it to my upper and lower. rides awesome, no binding

just mu uppers are piecut. it helps keep the balljoint out of a bind when layed out.

Lay it out and cut the sides of the upper control arms, not all the way across. The end that the ball joint is attatched to will bend up. Then weld on doublers tothe sides to reinforce it and you are good. It keeps the ball joints from binding.
