ticket for unsafe vehicle

i was on my lunch goin home when a cop tracks me down a mile from where i saw him parked and pulled me over for cvc26101 for modified tailights and cvc 24002 unsafe vehicle.. the unsafe vehicle was for having air bag suspension and havin my bed cut out... ive been lookn for where it says bout air bags suspension and cant find anything, if anybody has had same problem and went to court to fight won or any place where it actually shows about unsafe vehicle for modified suspension...

search for your states vehicle codes (in north carolina its chapter 14 of the general statutes) and find suspension.  In NC its illegal to raise or lower your vehicle more than 3 inches UNLESS mounted on a truck chassis, and then there are no rules.  you'll just have to do some reading.

i was given the same ticket for unsafe vehicle if it was given by a non chp officer go to that dept and tell them the chp will not inspect your vehicle because they cannot define an unsafe vehicle with out a specific violation that constitues for an unsafe vehicle... park it aired up and ask that they sign the ticket off because you were instructed to have them do so by the chp that worked for me
