ok, so i just got done with my first bag job. i built all my own triangulated 3 link, step notch, front bag mounts, yada yada. anyway, it was a success. since i have gotten it done, however, i dont think its low enough. so i pretty much have the idea of how to body drop my b2200, and im confident i can do it with little problem. my question is what hidden cost is there in doing a body drop???it seems that there will be very little actual cost of it except the sheet metal for the fillers and of courst lots of sawzall blades and grinding wheels. what else is there that im likely to run into. my bed is already done and running on stilts until the cab and clip are done. thanks alot guys. i appreciate your help.

on a mazda they are pretty straight forward. no steering shaft probs or heat and ac probs. kinda one of the easiest to do. you may wanna swap to an electric fan for extra room. thats about it

if you dont have a weber carb you should lower the motor 3/4 of an inch.

the only cost you will have is for the 2x3 rails that sit under the cab, welding gas, welding wire, blades for chop saw, gringing wheels and flap wheels, tape to tape all the windows up so your truck doesnt look like junk after, seam sealer for the driveshaft tunel, some type of paint for all the bare metal, you will prob have to retub it unless you compensated for the bd on the bag job, thats all i can think of..... but def stockfloor it, mazdas are the easiest trucks to stockfloor!!!!!!

seems from personal experience that the only 'hidden' costs i end up running into are when things break during the build...     quick example, when i did the first bd on my s10 i was welding on the inside of the firewall, right behind the motor... got a lil fire going and it didn't blow out... ended up grabbing a gallon bucket of water and dumping it down between the motor and firewall to finally find that my clutch line caught fire, which is plastic for only a few inches right behind the motor. ended up finding out that the clutch line is all one long piece from slave to tranny and it ended up being around $100 new... talk about gettin pissed off, i was 18 and on a budget workin at a pizza place...
