ive had a set of pinstripping brushes for a couple years now , but have never had time to try them out . i bought a few cans of One shot today and am  hoping to mess around a bit this weekend , my questions are 1 what should i use to clean the brushes, and 2 should i put anything on the brushes to keep them soft and pliable after ive cleaned them / thanks

you are supposed to keep them in oil.

kerosene, linseed oil etc laying down

i clean my brushes with lacquer thinner or mineral spirits and then give them a generous portion of Neatsfoot Oil and then shape them before i place them flat in my padded box. the oil will keep the brushes soft and in the desired shape so they don't get a bent and fucked up... just before you go to paint again make sure you clean em out real good...

It also helps if you pull em out once and a while.  They WILL get krispy if let alone for long periods.
