dont no but it would suck if it got backed up!!!!     if money is not a problem dig it up and move it to another location as an option, most septic tanks are a couple feet around and i dont know if i would poor concret on top of it i would deff. talk to a contractor

are you talking about pouring a slab over the top of your septic tank or your drainfield? if you just want to do it over your tanks then it wouldnt be a problem as long as you would have access to the inlet and outlet of the tank or both of the tanks depending on the type of system you have. as long as you have access there is not a problem.

Actually you would have a problem with the weight possibly damaging it. They are not buried deeply for the case it backs up and needs pumping. Then say it backs up and a shit truck has to pump it do you really want a shitty hose dragging through your shop?

ya i forgot about that. i was talking to someone today and he said that in washington you would have to get it all enginereed. septic tank lids are about 4 inches thick, and all the ones we install are between 12-18 inches deep and are not traffic rated. the traffic rated lids are a min of 6 inches thick and have to have special risers. the first thing i would do that i didnt even think about is go to your local health department and talk to them and they could tell you excactly what you would have to do.   and our code here in wash for building away from septic is 5 feet from the edge of the tank.
