You need to first check the pressure plate (flywheel) to see if it needs to be resurfaced and send it out to a machine shop if it does. It will have grooves in it like a brake rotor if its bad. To reassemble, stick the alignment tool through the clutch disk (part with friction material on it) then stick that into the pressure plate (flywheel). Then bolt the diaphram spring plate onto the pressure plate, making sure the clutch disk is as dead center as possible because you cant move it once the spring plate is on. Pull the alignment tool out. The alignment tool lines up the splines so you can stab the tranny back in, which is what you need to do next. Youll usually need to really work the tranny back and forth and up and down to get everything lined back up. Also put it in gear and turn the tailshaft (if you can) to help line it up.
