i have a 94 toyota p/u and im trying to figure out how i can tub the firewall on the passenger side. the blower for the a/c is in the way. i took some pics of it and i want to know what the white thing with the plug is? what it does? can i move it?

nobody knows what it is? what should i do so that i can tub the firewall?

that is the blower motor resistor. yes you can move it, but you have to make sure that it has air moving over it while the blower motor is running. its a resistor,so, it does get warm, the airflow keeps it cool so it doesnt overheat and burn up.

I don't have a Toyota nor have i ever worked on the a/c of one... but could it be the Blower Resistor? i found this diagram real quick via google and it seems like the only thing getting a 4 wire plug in that configuration is #8.... http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-buchanan/93fsm/airconditioning/2aircondi.pdfI also googled that part and it seems to look like it...http://auto-parts.myride.com/auto-part/838560-standard-motor-products-blower-motor-resistorNow can you move it or where can you move it too? Let me know if this helps.  I don't have pics of mine, but it fits.  Haven't used it yet, but it should work.

this is how ive done it so far i still have to cut the hole for the resistor. i think this will work
