Heres the dalema. I am not going to body drop the 93 yota. I will have air bags sometime next year and will want to lay frame. i dont really want to move my clutch or dip into the firewall, will 18" rims allow me to avoid these things? if not i will go 20" and do them. I know i will need to scrap the inner front fenders and mod the bed inner fenders. no big deal there. Whatcha think?

My 92 Layed on 18's not body dropped with stock clutch stuff, no cut firewall, and stock brake booster.  After the body drop my 18x8 with 225/40/18 touch the hood.

My 92 has 225/40/18's and the tires are hitting the clutch master, brake booster, and firewall and thats laying on the engine crossmember, not even z'd yet. Not sure how ^^^^his tires missed all that before the body drop.

I would love to see some picks under the hood of a non body dropped early 90's yota laying frame with 18's. I know someone out there has to have this common setup.

I've got dropped spindles, sectioned and plated lca, and flipped lower BJ.  My bag is under the frame and my truck doesn't pull any camber layed out, maybe thats why???  Thinking back it may have touched the clutch master, but it was light and the tires were outside of the booster.

all that stuff shouldn't matter, we have the same tire diameter and clutch master, booster, firewall clearance. i have heard from other people that say they are laying out like you but it doesn't make sense to me....its all a matter of clearance. you are laying frame in the front right, not on the engine crossmember?

i got a 94 before the bd ,the tire hit the booster before the drop spindles got put on after that was fine didnt tub the fire wall and it lays out flat with the 18 on it, its a hole new ball game after bd n it on a 20

How would drop spindles make your tire not hit the booster? am i missing something here?

When you install dropped spindles your truck doesn't pull as much camber.  Combine that with the offset of your wheels and my tires go outside of the booster.  If my steering shaft didn't hit the booster I could have ran stock booster with 1/8" clearance bodydropped to rocker and z'd.  It cleared layed out, but the steering shaft it so I got one off an 83 truck.
