So I have a 2005 chevy crew cab that i change the steering wheel out with a billet colorado sutom one. I now have an annoying "SERVICE AIRBAG" on my message center display. Anyone know any tricks to remove this message by confusing the computer making it think its ok or a fuse or plug I can remove to get rid of this crap?? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

i didnt kno that autozone had the proper computer scanners to do airbag lights. thats new to me. a regular check engine light scanner will not turn off airbag lights!

went to autozone and they can turn off the sensor but they arent allowed to....but if you just happen to know someone that works there then you can fix it

It's "against the law" to kill a air bag or ABS light. BIG trouble. Autozone can erase the code and flashing light, but not disable it, just to clarify. However, on chevys, you can take out certain fuses to actively turn off ABS and airbag functions. Just have to look at your diagram. Each year is different, I don't know on your body style
