so ive had my truck lowered for quite a while with a blown engine, 2 months back i finally brought it in the garage tore it right down built a new frame from the firewall back i built a 4 link and bagged the back, the trucks gotta decent 355 eventually i have a 60mm turbo for it, my buddy just built an 86(i think) toyota 4x4 and bought an 88 2wd for the cab, long story short i have a 88 2wd toyota less a motor and body..so before i start bagging whats left of my d50 frame im cutting it out and using the yota clip..i dont have the frame yet, i know the steerings in front of the xmember and it has torsion bars, what else is different? is it any narrower? anyone know what gearings in the yota rearend? i have a 4x4 rearend too but its too wide..basically since ive been given the yota i know nothing about it..i should be picking it up this weekend and starting on mine next 2 weeks....ish..., thanks for your help!

If you are going to have any power in that motor, I would swap the rear end for a 9" unit. You can sell the toyota rear end for a couple hundred to try and make up the costs. There really is no need to swap a toyota clip onto the front. You can get the front to 5 lug by using tacoma hubs and rotors. Use all the toyota tacoma bearings and seals on the mistu spindle. Only other thing that needs to be done is some spacers on the brake caliper. It is really easy. There is nothing wrong with keeping the mistu suspension.

Track width is about 55 inches and the axle is about 56 inches on the Toyota.
