I havent been on here in a while and im sure the answer im looking for is here somewhere... but if someone could just help me out real quick.
I have a seized York 209 SC compressor that came with the 98 and up S-10 engine driven compressor kit from Airlift Company. I am trying to figure out what vehicle this compressor was used in from the factory and what years. I dont really like the 4 or 500 dollar pricetag airlift has for the compressor only and i want to purchase one from Pepboys or Autozone. They both require a part number or application. I hve seen the list for the York 210, but that wont work for my application.
Thanks in advance

hey man, scrap the 209, they are hunks of sh*t. grab a york 210 from most any mid late 70's ford trucks, 60's volvos and a few others around. maybe $35 at a junkyard and well worth the time extracting it.
I have the airlift kit for the the 98+ s10 with the 4.3 v6. will the york 210 work even though the brackets are set for a york 209? has anyone swapped out the 209 for the 210. what is involved. and will the 210 use the same v belt setup the 209 kit came with?
