65 f100 ifs clip...

I have a 65 f100 .. I was out today looking for a doner I found a f150 97-98ish 2wd If my measurements are correct it prob work good and aftermarket parts readily avalible... Anyone done this clip on an older truck ? Any thoughts or info, help ... Thanks

A new trend with I-beam Ford trucks is to put an 04-up crown vic front crossmember in it. It is a whole front suspension that they say seems likes it made to do it to these trucks. You just take out the factory front suspension and the factory crossmember and bolt in the crown vic one. It does take a couple of spacers and some reinforcement on the frame an then some little mounting tabs for the rear of the lower control arm to bolt to .You might want to check into it. Just a suggestion of another option.
