I'm currently cutting tabs and mounting rings to work with some powerballs and hydroholics mounting sleeves on a saturn. Its pretty basic just need the bolt patterns for the top mount and lower tabs.

I wanted something with tighter tolerances than a powerball so I used a sperical bearing. I also had to run the cylinder higher than the tower to lay out.

I will take pics of mine when I get them back and post them. But more or less its the exact same thing, just a different upper mount.

On mine I bought some factory replacement upper mounts and had the mount and the cylinder machined to mount up like a factory strut would. Both are keyed so the cylinder cant loosen up. I didn't run any powerballs and haven't had any problems, it's my daily too. I think I have some pics of it somewhere if you want an idea of something like this.

fodrails make an 1 1/2 uniball use a large washer on top with the fitting acting as a bolt and hydrohaulic make their threaded mount then add a pipe spacer to whatever highth you need inbetween the ball and their mount powerballs are too sloppyand the greese comes out if you mount them upside down.....6027609339

This is how the cylinders in my VW are mounted. The top 2 pics are the mystery mounts. I got them from a guy several years ago, and they seem to work fine. I would really like to find something like this for the Mini Cooper. The cylinder is so close to the axle at the bottom that I have to run reverse flow cylinders. Anyone know who makes these or can find me some. Thanks for your help guys.
