i have a 1995 toyota tacoma boddy dropped 3 1/4 inches and was wondering if anyone has attempted to put a 350 small block in one.  The only thing that i am worrying about is my steering which is behind the cross member and with the oil pan clearing this how far back will it have to go in the fire wall

thanks a lot

there is alot of toyota with this swap...im in the process ...you can buy mounts to do the swap and even a adapter to use your stock tranny

Maybe consider a Ford motor? They are front sump and would probably clear the rack on a Tacoma better.  Also front distributor which is often less obtrusive to the firewall.

i made my own because the bolt in ones sat the motor to far forward for me...but im not sure on the taco's but i know they make them for the89-94 yota's...i put a turbo400 just cause i had it ...and also you could run a slim dis. then you wont have to trim your firewall...advanced adapters us one place that sells them

oh and im sure you could get a front sump kit for the chevy's iknow they make rear kits forfords

The rear sump kits for Ford still have a front sump. The sump of the pan is related to where the oil pump is, so you can only do so much with it's location.

they make kits to move the oil pickup tothe front or rear and pans that work with the swap..
