I plan on redoing my rear bag set up in my El Camino with a parallel 4-link. I am not sure on how long to make the bars. I figured that 30" should be good, but am unsure. What are the the are the average lenght of parallel 4-links? What would the benefits/disadvantages of a longer or shorter link set up?

If your going to set it up for allot of travel then it would be a good idea to run long bars but if you are not going to have allot of travel then they don't need to be very long. and some of that will determine on if you run a pan hard bar, track bar, watts link or whatever you run.  but that's just what i think. lol

most of the parrallel link setups i do are around 30-32" in legnth. ive seen them as small as 26" before also.   Taylor

The longer the bar, the less roll steer youll have, which is good for a street driven vehicle. You really dont need to make it 30" long tho, anything over 20" would be decent, but the longer the better.
