Hey guys-

So I fixed my geometry issue on my Bronco (if you are familiar with the project) by cutting out the crossmember, mounting the factory chevy uca's/lca's to a factory chevy crossmember and installed it.

Now with the geometry at factory specs and the suspension locked up, the balljoints are hyper extended (i believe) and i'm still about 2 inches lower than i would like to be...

It doesn't help that the frame is essentially z'd and the ford wheelwells are short as hell (great for tuckin lots of rim ) and i'm trying to run 24's.

Any suggestions?  Pics?  It's only getting about 10" of travel and i know at least one guy who gets 14" of travel with his, but i don't know what he did...

THANKS!!

have you pie cut the control arms? that migh help...  but 14 inches sounds like crap load on those stock arms!!!!  good luck with the build!!! i love seeing broncos laid the f out!!!!

I haven't pie cut them yet, i just got them installed the other day... I'm not sure if it's exactly 14" he gets, that's kinda my guesstimate-  he's bodied on 24's and has like 3" or so over the top of the tire when its locked up. I'm only looking at like 11" or 12" preferably... Thanks!

Bump... Does anyone have any suggestions.... or how much i should pie cut the control arms? I don't want to settle for smaller wheels...

Are u running drop spindles??? If so try removing them and also piecutting the arms to get balljoint out of a bind could free up some travel as well

i would do like 3 to 5 degrees.... but im not positive... ive done it before but its been forever....

thanks guys...  I don't have drop spindles, i will try the 3-5 degrees. if that doesn't work as far as gaining extra lift, i guess i will have to buckle down and build some tubulars, lol. has anyone on here built some for the 73-87 chev's before?

i would take the top ball joint out ( should unbolt if it has ever been replaced, if not pop out the factory rivets because you are going to need new ones anyway) and jack it up to the height you are going to need it to be and see how much to pie cut the C-arms, if it is going to work. you dont want to do too much or you are going to bind when layed out...
