Double DIN DVD in 2002 Silverado

How can this be achieved? I got an Alpine in dash DVD for free, and wanna put it in my wife's truck for my daughter. How can I do this. It is double din and the factory stuff is din and a half.

From what I remember you will need to make a custom bracket to hold it in place and then the bezel will have to be trimed out to fit the size of the DD radio. I know it can be done just takes some work to get it.

both are right, im my old truck i made brackets and trimmed some stuff, and you have to lower your heat/ac controls, i cut the mounting tabs off and glued them back on at the right hight. it takes a hour or so but its not bad, kinda sucks trimming behind the radio for the radio to sit in right. good luck, oh and you need a 03+ dach bezel too
