I have a 1991 Chev fullsize extended cab and i want to add a engine driven compressor to it instead of the Viars i have.My question is who's compressor should i use and is there a bracket kit I can use to mount it to my engine block. If you have pictures of this installed in a fullsize Chev/Gmc that would be great would like to see that 1988-98 era.

http://onboardair.com/bracket-kits.htm if you look around they have whole setups but you can get the rest of the parts cheaper. Look at the bottom of the page.

I will make and sell you a bracket for each of your rides.  I made my fathers and it works perfect.  I actually was going to start to produce these but I didn't see enough of a demand for them.  PM or email me at drupru22@aol.com and we can talk about it more since I only get 5 posts a month.  Here's a picture of the one I made for my dads 97 Fullsize with a 5.0L V8 engine.  Here's my photobucket of the entire build up of my pop's truck: http://s254.photobucket.com/albums/hh93/drupru22/?start=100

If you go with a york 210 compressor I have a listing of parts that can help you get started on a custom application http://www.illusivefabrications.com/html/modules.php?name=catalog&file=index&cPath=28_128

I bought my York 210 at a junkyard for $25 bucks...then traded a guy on here for a surpentine clutch (came with a V )...Best $50 ive spent on my truck so far by far. Make sure you get you a good hose coming off of it to the tank...i use Hydraulic line...there's an oil mod you can do that cut down on the oil it passes dramatically. I went from filling it weekly to bi-monthly. Been rocking it a year now with no problems at 200 psi. Some people tell you to buy fittings for the top of em...I say save your money and buy a 3/8 tap and just tap the head...it was very easy to do as the head is aluminum...but make sure you pull the head off so no shaving get inside the comp. Get you a check valve right before it goes into the tank. Some people tell you to get a pressure release valve so the comp doesn't have to start under pressure...but I just didn't put any pipe dope on the fittings inbetween the compressor and the check valve...so they slightly leak...which releives the pressure...good luck man and their so worth having.

Go to Afterhoursfabrication.com, and e mail the guy... his name is Dave... He designed a bracket for my burban and sent it out to a laser cutter and had it made... looks like a stock part.  I beleive he is selling brackets for it...  BTW I have a york... No probs here!  Way better than on board compressors.
