ok im wonting to to lay down some true gost fllames over a white base what do i need to spray the flames with?
well that was my plane but that little basterd is hard to track down...
just simply mix some dry pearl (your choice in color) into a clear binder (which is like a clear base coat)....... mask off your flames and spray a couple medium to light coats....untape...clear coat and wha la ghost flames hit me up if you more info or details bro
da da da da Brian Walker to the rescue!!!
cool, thanks alot thats what i was thinking but wasnt sure.
how ghostly do u want them? a white ice pearl over the white will give it a nice look. ice pearls pop a little more over standard pearls. or theres hok's kameleon opals or kosmic pearl for a different pop.
i dont wont them to be real noticable until the light hits just right. the white im spraying over is a cadilace pearl white.
get another hood or a fender, and do a test panel before you go and do your truck. this wya you can vary the pearl coats and see if you like them lighter or darker. being your sprayin over a 3 stage paint now (cadi pearl is white base, then a pearl over the white) youmight want to spray a heavier perl for your flames, or a use a colored pearl such as gold to do the flames in so you can see the pearl with all the other pearl form the cadi white. trust me do yourself a favor and spray a hood and do some flames with one coat of pearl, some with 2 coats, and some with 3-5 coats to see if you like it once its all cleared. everyone has a different idea on what ghost flames are, and you need to figure out what you like, and results you are lookin to get
thanks alot, that sounds like a good idea to me
