sport trac front end on ranger

anyone got any pics of the 05 sport trac front end on a ranger? i was at the boneyard yesterday and saw one that appeared to have the same core support as my 98 ranger.

THE 05 AND 07 SPORT TRAC SHOWS TO BE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CORE SUPPORT THAN THE RANGER. THE RANGER HOWEVER FROM 98 - 2010 IS ALL THE SAME PART NUMBER.  AND MY DIAGRAMS HERE AT FORD LOOK COMEPLETLY DIFFERNT.SO IM NOT SURE IF THEY WOULD WORK FOR YOU OR NOT WITH OUT MODDING IT

YA THE DIAGRAMS LOOK DIFEREND BUT COULD JUST BE MY PARTS CATALOG. IM BASEING IT OFF OF THE NUMBERS REALLY. BEST BET IS MEASURE THE ONE U SAW. LOOK AT WIDTH OF THE HOOD AND GRILLE AND THE LOOK AT THE LENGTH OF THE HOOD AND FENDERS.  I DONT HAVE THE SIZE SPECS TO TELL YOU IF IT WOULD FIT OR NOT.  I THINK AN 07+ SPORT TRAC FRONT END WOULD LOOK GOOD ON A RANGER THOUGH. AND I BET IT COULD BE DONE CLEANLY WITH SOME CUTTING AND PASTEING OF THE RANGER AND SPORT TRAC FENDERS AND THEN THE REST ALL SPORT TRAC

There was a guy on RPS that did thei coversion with an ealrier year sport trac. His name was OCGuy, not sure if you can still pull up his profile or not. JIMMY

just swap cores ...

you shouldnt really need to do a core support swap to do that mod. most ford mini and mid size front ends the grill, headlamps, and whatnot are all positioned by the header panel. which mounts to the fenders. so as long as your fenders are correct for sport trac the header panel will bolt up. you may have to adjust or make center brackets but most of the time on those kind of trucks they are just 90 degree bolt on brackets out of the core support. and you may have to clearence it for headlmap bulbs. most of the time you can do a swap like that on a ford without core support replacement.
