A buddy of mine has a 1988 B2200 with a Weber carb but the motor is pretty shot. He has the opportunity to buy a 1991 B2200 for a very low price with a good motor and bad trans, but that one is fuel injected. We want to put the FI motor in the 88 but make it carbed. Would it be possible to put the carb intake manifold on the FI head or is there a port/bolt pattern difference that may cause a problem? Any other issues?

I believe the head is the same the only thing that changes is the intake manifold. All your buddy would have to do put the two engines side by side and swap all the FI parts for the carburated parts and it should work just fine. I did this in the late 90's so I am sure there is more to it that this, I've forgotten over the years.... I sure my fellow member will tell you with greater detail.

Ok, as long as the heads are the same, I don't see any issues either, but I've never tried..

The engines are the same. You should convert the '88 to EFI! But again, yes the engines themselves are the same.

He'll need more than the engine to convert his truck to run FI. Other than the intake manifold the only other thing you should have to swap is the distributor. EFI a hall effect type which is not setup to work with the carburetor.  My Truck Profile
