Ok so I have a Mazda B2200 in the shop now for a grip of work, but one thing the owner was complaining about was very loose steering. As soon as I stuck my head under the truck I saw what was up, it looks like someone slapped Toyota spindles and hubs onto the Mazda arms and tierods! At least thats what I thought, but the current owner (who bought the truck like this) was told they're Ford parts...They look like Toyota to me but if anyone can confirm they are Toyota or Ford by the pics, and even that the balljoints and tierods are still Mazda, let me know! Whats happening is the tierods are too small for the taper in the spindles so they just put a couple washers under the nut and cranked it down. Anyone have any good pics and parts lists of the completed swap done in a drivable manner??

There is a guy that redrills the stock Mazda hubs to 5 X 4.5 (114.3). His name is John, I think his screen name on here is laynrockers. I bought a set from him and they work great.Someone should have changed the seals in the cylinder a long time ago!!!

That is a Toyota hub. You can tell by the way the brake rotor mounts to it. The spindle I am not sure looks like a Toyota piece though. The way the upper balljoint surface is machined on the bottom side says no to me, but it could be an AIM spindle.I'm not sure how those look, I've only ever used Belltech. The caliper look slike it could be Toyota, but the dust backing plate is wrong.

It does have mazda tie rods and lower balljoints. The upper balljoint, hub, rotor, caliper are not mazda parts. As for the spindle its is not a stock mazda spindle, but it kinda looks like an AIM mazda drop spindle. The AIM mazda drop spindle uses S-10 lower balljoints which AIM supplys when you buy them and the stock mazda upper balljoint is still used. That setup look like they just threw together whatever parts and pieces they had.  On a side note, I have Cando arms, AIM mazda drop spindles, and  redrilled mazda front hubs done by John (laynrockers). Im really pleased with this setup I have on my truck. Sory I have no pics though.

Hrmm a lot of different opinions here...They dont look like redrilled hubs to me, but maybe that would be the best way to go to keep everything as Mazda as possible. Good call on bscene, I used to frequent that forum when I had mine back in the day.

Oh btw, how do the AIM spindles use S10 lower balljoints? Because S10 lowers press into a sleeve in the arm, and obviously the Mazda arms have bolt-in balljoints. Also, if this is the right picture for AIM Totoya spindles, then thats what I have because mine have that hole in the ear on the steering arm, while the picture for the Mazda spindles does not: Mazda:

the Aim ball joints come with a plate that has the ball joint pressed into it then it bolts to the control arm like the stock ball joint also if you need some stock mazda parts i probably have it.  If thats 215 motorsports truck he has my number
