anyone know much about these, found one with everything except the leader hose for a good price, just wondering if these are any good before I buy it.  Anyone who has one or knowledge of one let me know the good and bad.....thanks

ok, I'm sure I already know the answer, but.....I have 2 480's waiting to be put in, but seriously thinking about an engine driven. As stated before I found a sanden with everything except the filter and leader hose, but haven't heard much about these.....what would be the best and most reliable choice, the Viairs, York, or the Sanden???

I dont know much about the sanden but ive owned a few yorks and they kick ass and almost any salvage yard has them cheap!

Sandens are very reliable, Mack trucks run then as their AC comps

I run Sandens all the time, they work great. As long as it has the fill plug in the top, you can use it.

Theres two guys on my club running them. One has been on his mustang for 6-8 years and never had to change it. We run a oiler / air filter  on the inlet so it constantly is keeping it lubricated. And as with any other compressor, we run a filter on the outlet also. Yorks are better because they have a oil bath, Sandens work great but you need to keep them lubricated. Both are the stock compressors that came in the car. One is 2001 Crown victoria and the other was 1990 5.0 mustang. Im putting one on my 66 Cadillac because it looked more like the stock pump.

sanden compressors vibrate a lot less than the yorks sandens are ideal for low volume(smaller airtank) / high pressure (200+psi)whereas yorks are ideal for high volume (larger airtanks) / low pressure (-200psi) sandens are a little more maintenance, you'll have to keep an eye on the oil level so they don't burn up. installing an oiler on the inlet port will help out a great deal
