I spent hours in the local salvage yards looking for Couriers or older 4x4 Toyota so I could keep my 17" Escalade and tuck them under 2 wheel drive rear tins. I was about to give up when in the weeds was a Nissa, look at there 6 bolt, 56.5" wide. Yes this will work. Their are many who talk about needing to run 1" spacers. whit this I will not. So add the 1970 - 85 Nissan to your salvage yard list for narrow rear ends. Tomorrow I go in search for a U-Joint to convert the Mazda Drive shaft to Nissan companion flange . I since then have other leads in the area (Central MN) for Couriers and one Toyota. Not sure if I'm Ready to share though---------------------------------------------Mine has stock rear, 17" escalade wheels laying rocker 2wd sheetmetal and no rub. Are you sayin yours wont?---------------------------------------------Either you've pulled the bedsides out so it won't rub, or you don't have tires. 17" escalades and Denalis the tires will rub the inside of the bed just laying frame, it'd be even worse on a BD.
