So my work got 8 20ft sticks of 1.5x3 .25 wall I was wondering if this would work for a sfbd

What are you body droping? Sure it's .25 wall thickness but for a mini truck i would suggest using nothing less than 2x3 and for a full size 2x4. some have used smaller tubing with success. It's all about bracing and layout. There is no one way to do a sfbd and just because the wall thickness is thicker doesn't mean it's better. You are going to have some flex in a chassis no matter what...you don't want it to be too stiff. Like i said its all about the layout and bracing...ie. single frame rail, double frame rail, the type of suspension etc. Adam

It will work if used properly and and you brace things correctly.
