Guys I'm setting up my first AR system and am trying to be proactive here... I most likely will be running a single compreesor (are running duals more for faster fill or are they a "just in case"? I'm looking for techniques you use in case of failures... Do you run scharders to each bag...or... one for emergency fill to the tank? If you lose air and you go frame how are you getting it back up? Do you carry a cheap cigarette plugin --just in case? If scharder valve would you plumb it between the tank and valve block? Thanks men... and as always pics would be helpful...

Two comps, Good solenoids - constant duty not the cheap plastic ones.. Schrader wouldn't hurt either. and a good battery - deep cycle IMO I also wrap my air line with fuel hose when it is next to something it could rub on.
2 comps, good solenoid as said above, check valves, I have a schrader valve for my tanks just in case. And I wrap my line in heater hose as well. get good quality brass fittings not plastic crap.
Thanks!! without a smack down ... what's your favorite ( means dependable right?) compressor , and why? Looking for a dealer to purchase from any recommends?
I ran Viair but I switched to Air-Zenith. I like em both and I honestly believe both are good. The Viairs were not as loud but also not as fast as the AZ's. And I think the AZ's are sexy as hell... Mike - (sickntwisted (<>mikey<> has a brand new AZ for sale.... for cheap
Viairs are good. I saw something though that really sold me on AZ's. I was at Air-Zenith's office in Vegas last summer. The guy who owns it, his name is Paul Also. He had a huge stack of the older AZ comps - all brand new. I said "are you gonna sell these at a discount to get rid of them". Paul said "the new ones are so much better and reliable that I want to just sell them and use these ones for parts and such". That says a lot about his company because a lot of people would just dump them and make what they could off of them. Paul cares a lot about his product and the company...
Would love to run a EDC but I have a seprntine and no room ... This(these) compressor(s)will be inside the wagon so noise in definately an issue. I'm not interested in doing all the tick stuff just looking for a good ride and the ability to raise and lower it some... Ideas?
my friends at SMITHCHASSIS AND METALWORKS use viair religiously but im sure they will install whatever. i had a chance to see first hand the performance of 2 viair 444s on a 5 gallon tank. they have a changed design incorprorating a heat sink/cooling section of tubing where the braided hose connects to the pump outlet. all i can say is amazing.
