Ive seen it done before and im wondering if it is alright.  The control arms look to be an exact triangle, and it changes the balljoint angle when you flip it.  Anyone had any experience doing this????

They arms will interchange side to side as they are symetrical. Flipping them will alter your balljoint angle but it might not be where you need it then either depending on wheel and tire size etc. You would be better off to simply take a small pie cut out of the arm and set the balljoint angle to your specific application. If you check out Seths sticky on the subject you will see what I mean. Its really simple for someone with a small amount of fabrication and welding experience to handle and looks 10x better than an upside down control arm too.

I know i can very easily pie cut the arm.  If i do flip the arm, i will trim the excess overhang, and box the arm.  Im not even sure i will need to do this yet seeing as i dont have the hardbody clip in my 521 yet.  Just trying to verify that the geometry is the same (other than the angle of the ball joint) on the arm.

I flipped my uppers and changed sides on my '95 Hardbody.  I didn't have any issues at all.  I did put new lower and upper ball joints on my arms too.   I can tuck a 20" wheel and tire combo with out any problems.
