59 chevy impala

            I'm working on my 59 impala. I have put in a 305 built out the but motor in it. I also bought a dress up kit for it. When I start the motor and give a little gas, I have oil coming out of the dip stick(top not bottom). When I got the motor it did not come with a dip stick. People told me to put in 5 quarts of oil in it, with empty oil filter. I mark it on the dipstick, so i would know when full. I am stuck on why it is leaking out. The motor came out of a race car. thanks johnny

Do you have a PCV or crankcase vent? Usually thats a sign of excess crankcase pressure.

try putting other valve covers back on it sounds like there to much pressure  ... just my 2 cents
