looking for new daily drive/tow truck

all right guys and gals looking for input on a newer daily driver truck that will see a bit of towing duties. My old daily is on the way out and i need a newer truck the truck will be a crew cab but not sure on weather to buy a 1/2 ton or 3/4-1 ton or weather to buy gas or diesel. Up by my place gas and diesel are almost the same price.Manitance wise i know a diesel will be more but if looked after right they should out last a gas truck to.Thanks for the help.
