I'm using a keyless entry system to activate my door solenoids. I want to re-wire it so the unit is inactive when the cars ignition is on. I know I'm going to need some relays or something but I'm not sure what type or how to set it up. Any help would be very much appreciated and also earn you a 6 pack if you ever make it out to Utah.

i would assume use a relay to trigger the ground

In order to make my shaved handles legal in Utah they have to be inactive when the car is in gear. Im just trying to give myself one less head ache when inspection time rolls around.  Bagged85 how would I wire up the relay to trigger the ground when the ignition is off?

spals kit has an ignition input to do exactly what you need on their systems

This is very easy to do with a 5 pole relay! Put and ignition sorce and ground to pins 85-86  then put constant power to 30 with your feed to your actuators coming off of 87a...this will give you 12 volts with the relay non entergized at 87a and when you turn on the ignition the relay entergizes switches to 87 and turns actuators off....just cover pole 87 so you dont get a short to ground!! Kent Severed Ties TxTex-Mex staff
