I thought the new issue was awesome!

I was honored to be apart of it (even though even though mike gave me less than a week to do mine lol)
With drying times and what not I was kinda limited to what I could do in the mount of time I had, So I chose to just do something simple and clean.....I decided to air brush the idea I had for my new T-shirt design!!!!!

Any ways this was the board I started with....and lucky me, it needed body work yay! even thought it was brand new lol

once the board was straight I put in a black sealer.

Then I lay'd down one wet coat of clear.....

Next I immediately grabbed the flake buster,.....and gave the board a couple passes with chrome bass boat flake.......

First pass.....

Second pass......

^^^That's why I love the flake buster!!!! here you can see how flat it lay's the flake, and this is without any clear covering the flake!

After three more wet coats, the chrome flake is completely buried.........now a quick cut and buff and this thing would be flossin'

But I waited until the next day, Then I sanded the skate board down with 600 grit.....and then lay'd down four coats of the custom kandy blue I had mixed up for the Taco

After the kandy had completely flashed and cured, I placed My logo........along with MINITRUCKIN's logo on the board.

Next I threw some black base in the airbrush and began creating a grunge look around the logo's......

Then I came over the black with a charcoal gray......

And then I finished the grunge look with light grey splatters and what not.....

After that, I untaped the logo's.....and burried the board under three more coats of clear......

After the clear coat had fully dried and cured (The next day lol) I sanded the skate board down once again using 600grit....

Once everything was sanded down, I taped off both ends of the board.......and then drew up a matching paisly patterns on each end,

Then I cut the designs out with a razor blade.......

Design on top....

Design on bottom

Next I sprayed the unmasked areas with gold leafing adhesive and untaped the designs.......

once untaped, I let the gold size tack up.....Then I applied pieces of variegated gold leaf to the board........

Once the variegated gold leaf was applied, I simply brushed off any excess gold leaf with a foam brush. Revealing the design I had just drawn and cut out of masking tape!

Top design....

Bottom design....

Now it was time to start on my truck........

After a basic sketch of the ole Taco, I cut out the outline of the truck with a razor blade.....

Then I sprayed the truck with a white base, and pinstriped the body lines and what not by hand.....

After shading in most of the body I decided it would be cool if I had silver leafed the "chrome" parts such as the wheels, grille, headlights, bumper, billet, ect.....

Which wasn't really the greatest idea because the texture in the silver leafing distorted the airbrushing.....but oh well, live and learn lol. I think i still turned out bad ass

next i untaped the board,...Now I need to blend the truck in with the gunge look.....

First I taped off my logo with a clear masking taped (frisket film) and then I began giving the art work a little more depth.......

And last but not least.....I free hand pinstriped my logo!

And finally,...Finally I was done! it was time to clear coat this bitch one last time
